Specialised Music Lesson (60min)
$100 in-person or online

We offer specialised music lessons for those who find it difficult to learn music from western approaches. This could be a short-term process where the therapist can assess whether traditional lessons will be effective long term with additional strategies, or whether the participant will require more adapted lessons in the long-term to be able to develop musical skills due to a different learning style or need. During a specialised music lesson, the participant will be supported and taught to gain musical skills in a way that works for the participant.
Instruments include guitar, ukulele, voice, hand drums, piano, and didgeridoo.

In a specialised music lesson you may gain:

Tools for self-regulation

Confidence

Motivation

Fine and gross motor skills

Alternative music learning approaches that are accessible and easy to understand.

Psychedelic Assisted Care

Harm Reduction, Psychedelic Preparation and Integration (50min)
$150

Psychedelics are prohibited substances under the Controlled Substances Act 1975, we don't promote, possess, supply, or encourage the use of illicit substances. In recent years there's been a notable increase in the use of psychedelics for personal growth and healing. While Psychedelics are generally safe for most people, there are potential risks associated when used while taking prescribed medications, or experiencing psychiatric disorders, heart conditions. There's also a risk of psychological harm, particularly when there's a lack of preparation and after-care. For this we offer confidential psychedelic support with a focus on harm reduction, helping you decide whether its a good idea to do psychedelics in the first place, and offering preparation and integration sessions for those who wish to take on the journey.

Workshops, Professional Development (PD) & Presentations

Educating and raising awareness about music therapy is a priority for us. We often meet with health professionals, parents, school teachers, who don’t really know what music therapy is or how it works. Our presentations include evidence-based information about music therapy, case studies of music therapy with various populations groups, examples of music-based interventions and how to apply them in your area of work.

We have presented at conferences, festivals, art therapy classes, community centres and facilities throughout New Zealand to a wide range of population groups. We tailor our presentations based on where and who we’re presenting to, making sure that the content and practical tools provided are applicable to the setting and people attending.

Pricing varies depending on location, amount of participants, and length of desired presentation. To find out more get in touch at resonancetherapiesnz@gmail.com
